“Pizzaiolo per il Cambiamento” is a project created to give voice to a new generation of conscious pizza makers. Professionals who do not just knead, but reflect on their role, the value of their daily choices, and the impact of their work.

In a changing world, even pizza can become an instrument of transformation. Change does not mean giving up tradition, but learning to cherish it with a new look: more environmentally conscious, more respectful of people, more open to the culture of food as a relationship.

The project was born from a simple idea: to put at the center those who work every day with their hands in flour and want to make a difference. With small but concrete gestures.

The “Pizzaiolo for Change” manifesto is an invitation to rethink one’s craft.
Not a list of rules, but a set of principles shared by those who believe that making pizza can also be an act of responsibility.

It talks about respect for the raw material, attention to the supply chain, fighting waste. It talks about education, culture, daily choices that can make a difference. Above all, it talks about people: pizza makers, suppliers, customers, communities.

The poster does not claim to give all the answers. But it asks the right questions, prompting people to look at their work with fresh eyes. It is an open tool that grows and is enriched by the experience of those who share it.

Those who adhere to the manifesto do not sign a contract, but recognize themselves in a vision.
A vision where the pizza maker’s craft returns to the center, not only as a craftsman, but as an active protagonist of change.

THE PROTAGONISTS OF CHANGE

The heart of the project is them: the pizza makers. Women and men who every day, between burning ovens and maturing doughs, choose to put quality, respect and awareness at the center. They are not testimonials, but fellow travelers. They share ideas, experiences, doubts and good practices. Each with their own style, each with their own story, all united by the same vision: pizza can change the world. Or at least, start with its dough.

Pizza for Change Award

It is not enough to know how to make a good pizza. You also need the courage to make it differently. That’s why the “Pizza of Change” Award was created , a special recognition given as part of the World Pizza Championship, designed to highlight those who choose to knead responsibility, awareness and the future.

The award looks not only at the result on the plate, but at the path that made it possible. The choice of raw materials, the relationship with suppliers, the reduction of waste, the attention to the well-being of people and the environment. Every detail counts, because it tells a vision of the craft that goes beyond technique.

To be awarded is a pizza that expresses an idea of real change. A pizza that carries a message: sustainability is not a fad, but a possible – and necessary – direction.
